One of the greatest views of the Chicago skyline can be seen from the Navy Pier Ferris Wheel. The wheel was modeled after the first Ferris wheel ever built, which was on display at the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893.
The ride lasts around 7 minutes, as passengers are serenaded with songs like "Sweet Home Chicago" and told about the history of the wheel and the city. At 150 feet, riders can see much of the city, with their views unobstructed - a great photo opportunity for budding photographers.
The 360-degree view highlights the best of the Chicago skyline as well as the vast Lake Michigan.
