Requirements for Online MBA Degree
American Military University’s online MBA program is much like other traditional and online MBA programs. AMU uses the semester hour system and all classes are held online. The MBA consists of 39 semester hours, of which 9 will be in the specialization. Students can elect to pursue a specialization; a general MBA is also available. The MBA program has a core set of 9 courses and each is 3 semester hours. The core courses consist of: Global Management Perspective, Managerial Analysis, Quantitative Analysis, Strategic Management, Legal and Ethical Issues in Management, Applied Decision Making, Managerial Economics, Corporate Finance and Marketing Management.
The various specializations that a student can earn with AMU’s MBA program are: Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Global Business Management, Homeland Security Resource Allocation, Information Technology Management, Marketing and Nonprofit Management. Following completion of the core and specialization courses, the student has a choice of either the course: Business Administration Practicum and Integration Project, or the student can take a set of comprehensive examinations to complete the MBA.
